【摘要】:Amajorfactoraffectingthelifeofinsulatingmaterialsisthermaldegradation.Otherfactors,suchasmoistureandvibration,maycausefailuresafterthematerialhasbeenweakenedbythermaldegradation.Electricalinsulationiseffectiveinelectricalequipmentonlyaslongasitretainsitsphysicalandelectricalintegrity.Thermaldegradationmaybecharacterizedbyweightchange,porosity,crazing,andgenerallyareductioninflexibility,andisusuallyaccompaniedbyanultimatereductionindielectricbreakdownvoltage.1.1Thistestmethodprovidesaprocedureforevaluatingthermalenduranceofflexiblesheetmaterialsbydeterminingdielectricbreakdownvoltageatroomtemperatureafteraginginairatselectedelevatedtemperatures.Thermalenduranceisexpressedintermsofatemperatureindex.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletosuchsolidelectricalinsulatingmaterialsascoatedfabrics,dielectricfilms,compositelaminates,andothermaterialswhereretentionofflexibilityafterheatagingisofmajorimportance(seeNote0).1.3Thistestmethodisnotintendedfortheevaluationofrigidlaminatematerialsnorforthedeterminationofthermalenduranceofthosematerialswhicharenotexpectedorrequiredtoretainflexibilityinactualservice.1.4Thevaluesstatedinacceptablemetricunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Foraspecifichazardstatement,see.
