【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiestermsandproceduresforthecharacterizationofmassspectrometerleakdetectors(MSLD).Itisnotintendedtogiveacompletesetofspecificationsforanacceptancetestbutadescriptionofproceduresthatcanbeusedwithoutparticularcalibrationequipment.AnMSLDhasanintegralhighvacuumsystemformaintainingthesensingelement(massspectrometer)atlowoperatingpressureandforestablishingapartialpressurerelatedtotheincominggasflow.Thispressureismeasuredquantitativelybythemassspectrometer.Suchinstrumentsareabletoselectivelymeasuretheflowofatracergas.Inmostcasesthetracergaswillbehelium,flowingin/outofanobjectthroughaleak.Themethodsdescribedinthisstandardareapplicablewithoutrestrictionstoheliumasthetracergas.Forothergases,additionalprecautionsmaybenecessary.Thesemethodsareapplicabletocommonly-availableMSLD,basedonthepresentleveloftechnology,whichmaybeabletomeasureleakratesdownto10Pa·m/s.
