【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversthedesignandmanufactureofinternationalshoreconnectionstobeusedwithmarinefirefightingsystemsduringanemergencywhenastrickenshiphasasystemfailure.1.2Internationalshoreconnectionsareportableuniversalcouplingsthatpermitconnectionofshipboardfiremainsystemsbetweenoneshipandanotherorbetweenashorefacilityandashipwhentheirrespectivesystemthreadingismismatched.Boththeshipandthefacilityareexpectedtohaveafittingsuchthatinanemergencycanbeattachedtotheirrespectivefirehoseandboltedtogethertopermitchargingtheship'ssystem.Itmustbeportabletoaccommodatehosetohoseconnectionandallowassistancefromanyposition.1.3Theinternationalshoreconnectionisrequiredbyinternationaltreaty,tobecarriedonboardallpassengerandcargovesselsof500grosstonsormore,regardlessoffiremainsize,engagedininternationalvoyages,andisrecommendedforallvesselsthatwouldbeexpectedtorenderassistance.Itisalsointendedtobeprovidedatshorefacilitiesthatwouldbeusedtosupplywatertoaship'sfiremainsystem.1.4Fabricationeitheronboardavessel,inashipyard,orothershorefacilityisnotprecludedbythisspecification.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.
